Roberto Martinez wary of Crystal Palace

Everton boss Roberto Martinez warns the Toffees not to take winless Crystal Palace lightly at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Roberto Martinez has warned his Everton team not to be fooled by Crystal Palace's start to the Premier League season when they travel to Goodison Park on Sunday.

The Eagles are yet to pick up their first win having endured a turbulent start to the season after Neil Warnock replaced manager Tony Pulis, who quit just days before their opening game.

Palace impressed in the second half of the 2013-14 campaign and beat the Toffees 3-2 on Merseyside, and Martinez has urged his troops to remember that defeat before taking their London counterparts lightly.

"I don't think that it is a transition period," he told reporters. "Neil Warnock has got phenomenal experience in the game, he knows the club and the players inside out.

"As a group they are clear in what they do, I thought they were phenomenal in the second half of [last] season.

"I expect exactly the same [on Sunday], I think we will see a team who know exactly what they are doing, using the strengths of the group."

Sunday's clash is scheduled to kick off at 4pm.
