Karim Guede: 'Freiburg must stay focused despite win'

Freiburg midfielder Karim Guede calls for calm despite his side's important 3-1 victory over Werder Bremen on Friday night.

Freiburg midfielder Karim Guede has called on his teammates to remain focused despite their 3-1 victory over Werder Bremen on Friday night.

Relegation-threatened Freiburg claimed three vital three at home to Werder, thanks to goals from Julian Schuster, Felix Klaus and Admir Mehmedi, but Guede has called for calm in the wake of victory.

"It was a very intense game and we were very disciplined," the midfielder told reporters after the match.

"We were able to get the three points, but we have to focus on our next game in Hamburg. We have to stay focused and keep working hard."

The win now sees Freiburg sitting in 14th position in the Bundesliga table.
