Chelmsford City part company with manager Dean Holdsworth

Chelmsford City announce that they have parted company with manager Dean Holdsworth.

Non-league side Chelmsford City have announced that manager Dean Holdsworth has left the club.

The 44-year-old has left his post following just six months in charge following nine defeats in 15 games.

"We knew it would take time and results would be affected but as the club want to make more financial cutbacks as stated in the past few weeks, I'm very disappointed that we haven't been able to complete the challenge on and off the pitch," Holdsworth told the club's official website.

"I have come to an agreement with them to cancel our agreement. The club need to move on and I do to as a Manager and Pro licence football coach. I wish them well for the future."

Holdsworth spent two years as coach at Aldershot Town before joining Chelmsford.
