Barcelona are reportedly yet to make an official move for Franck Kessie despite being strongly linked with the AC Milan midfielder's services in recent months.
The Ivory Coast international has entered the final six months of his contract at Milan, meaning that, as it stands, he will leave San Siro on a free transfer at the end of June.
A number of clubs, including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur, have been strongly linked with the central midfielder over the last few months.
Barcelona are also said to be admirers of his talents, but according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan giants are yet to submit an official proposal.
Romano claims that Xavi's side will 'decide on free agent opportunities in the coming weeks/months', as the club prepare for next season.
Kessie has again been an important player for Milan during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring five times and registering one assist in 22 appearances in all competitions.
The 25-year-old, meanwhile, has netted 35 goals and contributed 16 assists in 206 appearances for the Italian giants since arriving from Atalanta BC in 2017.
